Default Introduction

Greetings,

I'm new to this forum, and I'm new to the area.
I started diving in the early 70's, in Brockville/Prescott area of St Lawrence.
I certified NAUI instructor at Tobermory ITC in 1978.
Cross certified PADI o/w instr in 1990.
NAUI Nitrox instructor in 2000.

Taught in the Brockville area till 1994, when I move to Peterborough.
Taught for TAM Dive Peterborough to 2005 when they closed.
I retired from teaching at the end of 2005 and just dive for pleasure.
Moved to Belleville in 2006.

I am at a new job in Hamilton/Burlington area.
I'm currently rooming week nights in Hamilton and commute home to Belleville Fridays, back to work Monday mornings.

We're selling our house in Belleville, and will be moving to the Hamilton area this summer.

I have a logged 1000+ dives.
My passion it wreck diving.
Once we're moved I hope to get out with local groups and check out the local dive spots. I have a 21 ft deck boat that dive 4 sets of doubles comfortably.

Best regards

Mike Dolson

Welcome aboard Mike.

That's quite a resume. As John said look in the dive planner forum for upcoming dives.

Default Converting to Sidemount

Haven't been active for quite a while.
Didn't make the move to Hamilton. Still in Belleville, & have been with Bombardier, Kingston since 2011.
2012 got a chance to dive with some side mount diver in Cenotes in Mexico.
I've converted my Transpac to a Nomad sidemount rig, sold my 2400psi twin steel Fabre tanks along with DR superwing & BP.

Given that I've had a knee replacement, probably a wise decision.

Now looking for sidemount divers in Belleville-Kingston area to buddy & mentor/coach me on how to dial in my rig.

PS still dive a single backmount on occasion.
